Usefulness of Frailty Markers in the Assessment of the Health and Functional Status of Older Cancer Patients Referred for Chemotherapy: A Pilot Study
Journal of Gerontology: Medical Sciences 2008, Vol. 63A (5): 518–522.
This cross-sectional study explores the usefulness of frailty markers in detecting vulnerability in older cancer patients. They conclude that the assessment of seven frailty markers allowed the detection of potential vulnerability among 42% of older cancer patients that would not have been detected through an assessment of IADL and ADL disability alone.

Transitions Between Frailty States Among Community-Living Older Persons
Arch Intern Med. 2006; 166:418-42.
Their findings suggest ample opportunity for the prevention and remediation of frailty, because they postulate that frailty among older persons is a dynamic process, characterized by frequent transitions between frailty states over time

The Tilburg Frailty Indicator: psychometric properties
J Am Med Dir Assoc. 2010 Jun; 11(5):344-55.
This study demonstrates that the psychometric properties of the TFI are good, when performed in 2 samples of community-dwelling older people. The results regarding the TFI's validity provide strong evidence for an integral definition of frailty consisting of physical, psychological, and social domains.

The Lausanne cohort Lc65+: a population-based prospective study of the manifestations, determinants and outcomes of frailty.
BMC Geriatr2008; 8: 20.
The Lc65+ study focuses on the sequence "Determinants → Components → Consequences" of frailty. It currently provides information on health in the youngest old and will allow comparisons to be made between the profiles of aging individuals born before, during and at the end of the Second World War.
